Highlights of the New York Giants' clash with the Minnesota Vikings in week four of the NFL

Matt Asiata and Jerick McKinnon both scored touchdowns in place of the injured Adrian Peterson as the Minnesota Vikings beat the New York Giants 24-10. Eli Manning and the Giants offence struggled to find any rhythm as the Vikings continued their unbeaten start to the season.

Manning struggles once again in Minneapolis. Vikings defence hold Beckham Jnr to just three catches as Minnesota preserve perfect record.

C.J Anderson: Underdog Story

From undrafted free agent to Super Bowl winner, nothing has come easy for C.J Anderson.

Xavier Rhodes did not leave Odell Beckham Jnr's side all night, limiting the wide receiver to 23 yards. At one point in the first half, Beckham's frustration boiled over and he was given an unsportsmanlike contact penalty - a sure sign Rhodes was doing his job.

It looked as though the Giants might mount a fight back in the fourth quarter after Paul Perkins ran for 67 yards and Orleans Darkwa finished the drive to make it a one score game.

However, the Vikings responded, a 27-yard Cordarrelle Patterson return and a 40-yard reception for Charles Johnson set up McKinnon to put the game beyond the reach of New York.

The game

Having gone three and out on their first drive of the game, the Vikings got a lucky break when Giants punt returner Dwayne Harris fumbled the ball, Marcus Sherels diving to give Minnesota possession at the 41-yard line.

Image: Kyle Rudolph doubled Minnesota's lead

A pass interference penalty on Janoris Jenkins moved the Vikings to the one-yard line, and Asiata forced his way into the end zone.

Minnesota doubled their lead in the second quarter as Kyle Rudolph hung onto a seven-yard pass at the back of the end zone to complete a nine-play drive. The Giants struggled to get any sort of attack going, and didn't get into scoring territory until the end of the first half, where they were forced to settle for a 40 yard field goal.

Blair Walsh pulled a kick wide at the start of the third quarter, but added a 44 yard attempt half way through the period. The veteran kicker, drafted in 2012, missed a game-winning 27-yard field goal against the Seattle Seahawks in the play-offs last year, and has struggled to find consistency since.

The Giants looked to get back into the game at the start of the fourth quarter as rookie Paul Perkins ran 67 yards to set up Orleans Darkwa for a one-yard touchdown. However, their defence could not contain Bradford and the Vikings, who hit right back with McKinnon extending the Minnesota lead to 24-10 and ending the contest.
