Defensive tackle Star Lotulelei agreed to a five-year deal with the Buffalo Bills, according to multiple reports.
Lotulelei was drafted 14th overall in 2013 by the Panthers and has ties to Bills coach Sean McDermott and general manager Brandon Beane from Carolina.
McDermott was defensive coordinator of the Panthers before becoming a first-time head coach with the Bills in 2017. Beane came to Buffalo from Carolina's front office.
Lotulelei, a 310-pound interior defensive lineman, would help fill a major need in the middle of the Bills' defense.
Kyle Williams is expected to move on and the Bills traded Marcell Dareus to the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2017.
