A 14-year-old amateur made European Tour history by making the cut at the Volvo China Open.
Chinese wonderkid Yang Kuang posted back-to-back 71s at Genzon Golf Club to qualify for the weekend and become the second-youngest player to ever make the cut at a European Tour event.
Aged 14 years, six months and 12 days, Kuang is only beaten in the history books by Guan Tianlang, who was a month younger when he finished as low amateur at the 2013 Masters.
With a group of school friends watching on, Kuang reached the turn in 36 and followed birdies at the 11th and 13th with a blemish at the 15th, before holing a 13-footer to save par at the last.
"I'm really happy, it's amazing," he said. "I was really nervous on 18 as it is a long putt for me but it went in and I'm too happy - there are not enough words to describe the feeling."
Kuang sits in a share of 55th on two under, 11 strokes back from compatriot and 36-hole leader Ashun Wu.
