As Alex Noren was crowned champion at the British Masters, we take a look at the tournament in numbers at The Grove.
ONE
Soomin Lee provided excitement on the 13th as he recorded the first hole-in-one at the British Masters since 2008. A six iron was all he needed from 175 yards to mark down the tournament's only ace of the week.
TWO
The number of events played by Alex Noren in 2014. His career looked in grave doubt as he struggled to overcome serious wrist injuries.
THREE
With this win, Noren secures his third European Tour victory of the year. Adding the British Masters title to the Scottish Open and Omega European Masters, the 34-year-old Swede made it three wins in eight starts at The Grove.
FOUR
A cool 553,969 Race to Dubai points attributed to the British Masters winner means Noren has edged out last week's winner Tyrrell Hatton into fourth place. "He's absolutely playing good enough golf that he could go on and win a couple more, and if he wins the right ones leading up to the Race to Dubai he could still steal this from Danny Willett," said Nick Dougherty.
FIVE
The amount of places Mikko Ilonen moved up in the Race to Dubai standings. Needing to be in the top 60 to ensure a place at the DP World Championship, Ilonen's 10-under score for the tournament has pushed him from 64th to 59th.
SEVEN
The total of European Tour titles Noren now possesses. A birdie at the last was more than enough to ensure a two-shot win over Bernd Wiesberger,
SIXTEEN
The only pin-flag in British Masters history to have been uniquely designed by local school children. The 16th hole held this honour for all four days of the tournament, and was picked by tournament host Luke Donald.
Sixteen was also the number of eagles recorded this week, nine of which came on the par-five 18th.
EIGHTEEN
In July, Noren had impressed the world of golf when in just a year and a half he had moved from 471st in the world rankings (January 2015), to 103rd. With this win, Noren is now ranked world No 18.
FIFTY-FIVE
The longest stretch of holes by any player without a bogey this week. After his blemish on the fourth hole on day one, runner-up Wiesberger didn't card another error until the sixth hole of his fourth round.
SIXTY-FOUR
The lowest round of the week, and just one shot off Tiger Wood's course-record 63 which he set in 2006. Richard Bland was the first to reach seven-under for a round on Friday, while Kiradech Aphibarnrat was the lowest of the day on Sunday.
