Celtic's Scottish Premiership clash with Hamilton is in doubt because of wet weather.

Heavy rain is also forecast to fall over the next 24 hours in Glasgow, leading the Scottish champions to call a pitch inspection for Saturday morning ahead of the fixture.

A club statement said: "Given recent weather conditions and the current forecast for the next 24 hours, there will be a pitch inspection at Celtic Park tomorrow morning [Saturday] at 9.30am ahead of the game against Hamilton Accies [KO: 3pm].

"We will update supporters with further information following this inspection."

Celtic's last Premiership match away to Inverness was also subject to an early morning pitch inspection but the game went ahead with Ronny Deila's side winning 3-1.
