Barry Bannan is set to pledge his future to Sheffield Wednesday after agreeing a new three-and-a-half year contract with the club, Sky sources understand.
Bannan, 26, signed a one-year deal with Wednesday after arriving from Crystal Palace in the summer and has since played an integral role in the club's push towards the play-off positions.
The Scottish midfielder has recently been in talks over extending his deal with Wednesday and Sky sources understand he has now agreed a deal that will keep him at the club until 2019.
When asked about Bannan's contractual situation on Wednesday, Owls manager Carlos Carvalhal told the Sheffield Star: "I think Barry Bannan will be here with us and I am sure that will be solved soon.
"He likes it here with us and we like him."
Wednesday currently sit in seventh place in the Championship table, just two points off the play-off positions.
