Uncapped duo Shai Hope and Carlos Brathwaite have been included in a 14-man West Indies squad to face England in the first Test next week.

The hosts have cut six names from their initial training camp under new coach Phil Simmons, with Sheldon Cottrell, Miguel Cummins, Shane Dowrich, Shannon Gabriel, Leon Johnson and Veerasammy Permaul all stood down ahead of the Antigua clash.

But 21-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman Hope and paceman Brathwaite have both been retained.

Leg-spinner, Devendra Bishoo, who played his 11th and last Test three years ago, has been recalled, with Denesh Ramdin continuing to skipper the side and Kraigg Brathwaite acting as his deputy.
