After James DeGale battled to a majority draw with Badou Jack, we consider the options for each fighter.
IBF champion DeGale and WBC title holder Jack could not be separated on the scorecards, with two judges handing in a 113-113 verdict, but the two super-middleweight champions are likely to go separate ways.
We consider the next possible career moves for DeGale and Jack, including a rematch, step-up in weight, or a fight against Callum Smith...
Will DeGale and Jack meet again?
A rematch between DeGale and Jack is unlikely to take place at super-middleweight, with 'The Ripper' revealing that he can no longer make the 168lb limit, and promoter Floyd Mayweather echoed this view.
Jack did offer DeGale the opportunity to fight him again at light-heavyweight, although the British fighter was immediately reluctant to relinquish his own IBF title.
But money remains a motivational factor for any boxer and Jack might just consider the return fight if he receives a lucrative offer.
What are the other options for DeGale?
Promoter Eddie Hearn has confirmed that DeGale is due to make a title defence against mandatory challenger Jose Uzcategui.
Facing the little-known Venezuelan would certainly be a step down from a unification clash in New York, but DeGale is a proud IBF champion and might decide to fulfil this obligation next.
A big domestic fight against Smith is the more logical step, although it remains to be seen whether the IBF would grant this bout.
Where does Callum Smith fit in?
Smith is the mandatory challenger for Jack's WBC super-middleweight title and the Liverpudlian must wait a little longer to find out the champion's next move.
If Jack vacates his belt and steps up in weight, then Smith will be offered the opportunity to fight Anthony Dirrell for the vacant title.
Smith had been hoping to face the winner of DeGale-Jack, with two belts at stake, but his disappointment at the result could be forgotten if he receives a less demanding first world title shot against Dirrell.
Who would Jack look for at light-heavy?
Jack immediately stressed his desire to fight Adonis Stevenson, rather than a rematch with DeGale, and a number of other big names are waiting in the higher weight class.
Andre Ward would be the top target as he holds WBA, IBF and WBO belts following his points win over Sergey Kovalev in November.
Mayweather has a prickly relationship with Ward, who has replaced him at no 1 in many experts' pound-for-pound lists, and might try to knock him off his perch with Jack.
Could we still see DeGale-Groves in 2017?
George Groves will have watched the fight with interest, having suffered a split decision defeat to Jack, but has more pressing matters before he can think of a rematch with DeGale.
'The Saint' will battle Fedor Chudinov for the WBA 'super' belt and is waiting to find out a date and venue for his fourth world title fight.
DeGale recently admitted he wants to face Groves again and the super-middleweight showdown could be even bigger later this year with two titles on the line.
