Tony Jeter has warned Chris Eubank Jr he'll be facing 'a wild dog' when the pair meet in Sheffield on Saturday.

WBA interim champion Eubank Jr (19-1-KO14) has already agreed to fight Gary 'Spike' O'Sullivan on December 12 but Jeter (20-4-1-KO14) didn't have to look too far back to recall the last time he wrecked an opponent's plans.

The 39-year-old American told a press conference: "In 2012 I fought Jimmy Lange. At that point I had 15 wins and three losses or whatever. During that fight, someone announced his next fight urging people to tune in. I went out there and beat the dog-s*** out of him for 10 rounds.

This is going to happen. Everybody's looked up at me and thinks it's all fun and games but I'm not fun and games time. I'm here for business.

"Nobody thought I was going to win outside my own team. I went out there and dominated and I'll tell you why. Because at that point I was backed in to a corner like a wild dog. When you back a wild dog in to a corner it's dangerous because you don't know what's going to come out.

"This is going to happen. Everybody's looked up at me and thinks it's all fun and games but I'm not fun and games time. I'm here for business. I look forward to a good fight. That little story from 2012, announcing the next fight, that story didn't end well for them."

"I'm very confident. I came a long way for this fight and I'm ready to go. We trained hard and we're in great shape. We had great sparring in a great camp. I came in to it with no injuries and I'm ready to go home with the title.

"I know he's a good fighter but I'm a good fighter too and it's going to make for a hell of a show. I'm happy to be in Sheffield. It's a great place but it's going to be better when I'm flying back with the title.

Eubank Jr denied he was looking past the experienced Maryland man, saying: "I never overlook a fighter. I've trained as hard for Tony Jeter as I would for Gennady Golovkin. I respect all fighters.

"My mindset is that there's a man in front of me trying to take away your dignity, your pride and your health so you can't underestimate any man who's trying to come in there and do that to you. I've trained 100% for this fight and you're going to see an explosive performance."

On the same bill as Eubank Jr v Jeter, Gavin McDonnell defends his European super-bantamweight title against Jeremy Parodi.
