Since his debut in 1997, Goldberg has proven time and again that he is one of the most powerful forces in sports-entertainment. Here are 10 of his most extreme moments

Next month marks 20 years since the start of one of the most dominant careers in pro-wrestling; that of Bill Goldberg.

As you can see in the video above, WWE has picked out 10 of his most destructive moments from a body of work matched by few in the industry's history.

The former NFL player went from injured defensive tackle to one of the faces of wrestling during its glory period in the late 90s and early 00s, with the highlight being his famous undefeated streak in WCW.

Goldberg went 173 matches without defeat, according to WCW bosses, over a 15-month period after making his debut in September 1997.

Goldberg joined WWE in 2003 and The Rock was one of his first targets

Although embellished, the seemingly forever rising total kept fans tuning in every week to find out 'who's next', which would become his catchphrase, as WCW beat WWE in the TV ratings war at the time.

Our top 10 list includes his famous battles with the likes of Chris Jericho and Big Show during his WCW days, as well as his relatively recent comeback feud with Brock Lesnar.

Goldberg received a late career boost by clashing with fellow ex-NFL player Brock Lesnar, a rivalry that culminated at Wrestlemania 33

Aged 50, starred at this year's Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania to confront Lesnar in a battle between of two of pro-wrestling's most dominant forces over the last two decades.

It's fair to say many of his rivals didn't particularly like working with Goldberg given his brutal manner in the ring and disgust at the thought of losing to perceived lesser talents, but there's little doubting he'll go down with the fans as one of the best of modern era.
