Boss beats Charlotte; Roman Reigns downs Kevin Owens
Tuesday 29 November 2016 12:44, UK
Sasha Banks downed Charlotte in her opponent's home town on Monday night to become Raw Women's Champion for the third time.
The Boss backed up her title triumphs over The Nature Girl on Raw in July and October by winning a No Disqualification, Falls Count Anywhere Match in Charlotte, North Carolina as she regained the strap she shipped in the first-ever Women's Hell in a Cell Match.
Banks and Charlotte, whose initial bout earlier in the night ended in a double count-out, battled all over the Spectrum Center, with Charlotte hitting a Natural Selection off the ring steps and a moonsault off the announce desk.
However, Banks prevailed when she locked in a Bank Statement on the champion between a railing, leaving an anguished Charlotte no choice but to tap out and Banks able to celebrate with her foe's father, Ric Flair.
Roman Reigns also enjoyed a productive evening, defeating Kevin Owens to earn a shot at the Canadian's Universal Championship at Raw's Roadblock: End of the Line pay-per-view on December 18.
Owens' best friend, Chris Jericho, was absent from ringside having been Pedigreed onto a car by Seth Rollins and the champion struggled in his absence, losing via two Superman punches and a spear.
The New Day remain Raw Tag Team Champions, meanwhile, after seeing off the challenge of Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows - Xavier Woods pinning Anderson as his group edged closer to Demolition's record 478-day reign with the twin straps.
Elsewhere, Mick Foley told Sami Zayn that he would never be able to defeat Braun Strowman, after the monstrous Raw Superstar had crushed R-Truth in singles action and attacked Goldust.
Elsewhere, Rich Swann warmed up for his Cruiserweight Title clash against Brian Kendrick on Tuesday's 205 Live by downing Scotland's Noam Dar, while Tony Nese pipped Cedric Alexander thanks to an assist from Drew Gulak.
Plus, fan favourite Enzo Amore beat Rusev via disqualification - after he was kicked in the unmentionables by The Bulgarian Brute.
