Garbine Muguruza won the battle of the Grand Slam champions to end the Wimbledon hopes of top seed Angelique Kerber.

The Spanish star, who reached the Wimbledon final in 2015, prevailed in a highly competitive battle and marked the ninth consecutive time Kerber has failed to beat a top-20 opponent.
Elsewhere, on a hectic day's play which saw all fourth round match across the men's and women's singles played, Venus Williams produced an emphatic display to defeat Croatia's Ana Konjuh.
Williams, who becomes the oldest woman to reach the Wimbledon quarter-finals since Martina Navratilova in 1994, progressed courtesy of a comfortable 6-3 6-2 victory.
The five-time Wimbledon champion, who reached the quarter-final stage for the second successive year, will now meet French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko.
Ostapenko finally prevailed on her eighth match point against Elina Svitolina 6-3 7-6. The 20-year-old Latvian is looking for back-to-back Grand Slam victories and secured an impressive win over the world no 5 from Ukraine.
Caroline Wozniacki, who was on the brink of defeat in the third round on Saturday, succumbed to her fourth round opponent Coco Vandeweghe in straight sets 7-6 6-4.
The win for the American, who is coached by former Wimbledon champion Pat Cash, is her fourth straight-sets win in a row and she will now meet in-form Magdalena Rybarikova in tomorrow's quarter-finals.
Rybarikova, who has won 17 out of her 18 grass-court matches this year, defeated qualifier Petra Martic in three sets 6-4 2-6 6-3.
