Novak Djokovic moved into his fourth French Open final with a 6-2 6-1 6-4 win over Dominic Thiem to maintain his quest for a maiden Roland Garros crown.
The world No 1 has already won the year's opening major, beating Andy Murray in the Australian Open final and he will bid to add the French title that would make him the first man since Rod Laver in 1969 to hold all four majors at the same time.
"The atmosphere was fantastic. It's the first time I have played a semi-final on the Suzanne Lenglen court," said Djokovic, who had to play away from the main show court after terrible weather wreaked havoc on the tournament's schedule.

Djokovic never looked in any trouble from the outset, breaking an overawed Thiem at the first time of asking before taking the opening set 6-2.
It was more of the same in the second as Djokovic broke twice to claim a two-set advantage with a dominant 6-1 success.
But Thiem, competing in his first Grand Slam semi-final, roared back at the start of the third to break Djokovic and take a 3-0 lead but the Serb was not to be denied, reeling off five games in succession before Thiem stopped the rot.
But Djokovic is a man on a mission as he looks to complete a career Grand Slam as well as matching the great Laver and he served out the match for a routine straight sets triumph and a place in Sunday's final - his sixth straight slam final, winning four of the previous five.
