Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic celebrates winning the final against Rafael Nadal of Spain at the "Tie Break Tens" tennis tournament in Melbourne on Ja

Tomas Berdych won the Tie Break Tens tournament in Melbourne, beating Rafael Nadal in the final.

The quick-fire precursor to the Australian Open, where all matches were the first to 10 points, concluded with Berdych scooping the £250,000 prize with a 10-5 win.

Tie Break Tens also saw Novak Djokovic's return continue, although he lost 10-6 to Lleyton Hewitt in the first round. Djokovic, earlier this week, played his first match after a six-month absence due to injury, but he will be fit to start the Australian Open.
