Roger Federer produced a serving masterclass during his convincing victory over Rafael Nadal in the Shanghai Masters final.
This year's Australian Open and Wimbledon champion brushed aside his great rival in emphatic fashion, winning 6-4 6-3, to secure his sixth title of the year and looked particularly impressive behind his serve.
The 19-time Grand Slam champion won the sixth game of the match to love, in a mere 50 seconds, thanks to three successive aces after opening the game with an unreturned serve down the tee.
Federer picked up his third Masters 1000 crown - following victories at Indian Wells and Miami - and his resurgence in form this season is largely thanks to his strong serve and attacking tactics.
Federer has targeted winning the season-ending World Tour Finals in London rather than aiming to overhaul a near two thousand point deficit to Rafael Nadal who holds the world No 1 ranking.
