Nick Kyrgios destroyed a racket but still beat Mischa Zverev at the China Open

Nick Kyrgios took out his frustrations on his racket after losing the first set of his China Open second-round match against Mischa Zverev

The argumentative Aussie fired a shot out at 5-3 in the opening set of the match in Beijing, conceding the opening set in the process.

The ball flew out - and Kyrgios made no secret of his frustration as he sent his racket flying to the ground, destroying it instantly.

The world No 19 is no stranger to a spot of racket abuse, having sent several to the dustbin during his professional career.

But the setback did not derail him in Beijing, as he won the second and third sets by 6-2 scorelines to knock out Zverev and advance to the next stage.

And he even took time to chill out during one changeover - sitting back on his chair and singing along with a song being played over the stadium loudspeakers.
