Novak Djokovic will compete in next week's Aegon International, having accepted a wildcard for the Eastbourne event.

The 30-year-old will be making his debut on the south coast where he will be the top seed at the pre-Wimbledon tournament.

Djokovic, the world No 4, reached the quarter-finals of the French Open earlier this month and will be using his time in Sussex to sharpen his grass court form.

He said: "This will be my first trip to Eastbourne. I have heard great things about the tournament and looking forward to fine tuning my grass court game ahead of Wimbledon."

The Serbian is a three-time Wimbledon champion and will be joined by Frenchman Gael Monfils and American John Isner who are the No 2 and No 3 seeds respectively.

Brits Kyle Edmund, Aljaz Bedene and Dan Evans are also in the field, which will be held alongside the women's tournament that has attracted seven of the world's top 10 players - including Angelique Kerber, Karolina Pliskova, Caroline Wozniacki and Johanna Konta.
