"Oh, my goodness me!" Here it is, Andy Murray's best point of 2016. Not only should he not have been able to reach this cross-court angled backhand from the Serb, but his remarkable speed and reaction helped him conquer his arch-rival and the Italian capital.

No 2 - Murray v Milos Raonic (World Tour Finals - Semi-finals)

Just missing out on top spot was Murray's phenomenal half-volley against Canadian powerhouse Raonic at London's O2 Arena in what turned out to be one of the matches of the year.

No 3 - Murray v Lucas Pouille (Paris Masters - Third round)

Sky Sports commentator Mark Petchey described this absolutely stunning winner against French upstart Pouille as 'out of this world'

No 4 - Murray v Kei Nishikori (World Tour Finals - Round Robin)

This was Murray at his defensive best as he somehow saved this set point, just when all seemed lost, against the Japanese star at the World Tour Finals at London's O2 Arena.

No 5 - Murray v Bautista Agut (Shanghai Masters final)

Murray came up against the Spaniard in the final in Shanghai and Bautista Agut was bouyed by a first ever win over Novak Djokovic in the semi-final, the result was a thrilling first set including this brilliant volley rally.

No 6 - Murray v Simon (Erste Bank Open second round)

Simon causes Murray more problems than most and their matches are always hugely entertaining affairs - so it's no surprise to see the Frenchman make another appearance in our countdown.

So by the same token, it's no surprise to see Murray produce more of his very, very best with this miraculous shot.
