Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has been forced to pull out of next week's Aegon Championships at Queen's Club.

The 31-year-old Frenchman sustained a thigh injury during his French Open third-round match against Ernests Gulbis - resulting in his retirement - and has been unable to recover in time to take his place in the Wimbledon warm-up event.

"I am very disappointed that this injury means I will not be able to play in the Aegon Championships at the Queen's Club," Tsonga said.

"It is one of my favourite tournaments, home of some very happy moments for me on the court - reaching the top 100 for the first time and playing in the final - and I was looking forward to coming back. I hope to return in the future."
