The WWE action gets underway right from the off in 2018 with two huge events kicking off the New Year.

The first month is always a busy time in WWE and the forthcoming year will be no exception, with 30 superstars competing in the hotly-anticipated Royal Rumble on January 28.

The event - which is the first of 14 which will be live on Sky Sports Box Office - takes place at the Wells Fargo Centre in Philadelphia, with big names such as Roman Reigns, AJ Styles, Brock Lesnar, Kevin Owens and Randy Orton all in line to compete.

Entrants in the Rumble itself will be only too aware of the grand prize at stake for the winner, a shot at either the Universal or WWE title at WrestleMania later in the year.

But before the annual battle royal, there is a huge Monday night milestone with Raw set to celebrate its 25th anniversary on January 22 at the joint venues of the Barclays Center and Manhattan Center in New York.

The Undertaker will make his WWE return 10 months after his final match, which was against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33, and fellow legends Shawn Michaels and Kevin Nash will also be at the show.

The night is sure to be an emotional one, especially for the Undertaker and Michaels, who both won matches on the very first edition of Raw, on January 11, 1993.

Then it's the big one - WrestleMania 34 at the Mercedes Benz Superdome in New Orleans on April 8.

Even though the main event is not known at this stage, tickets are already selling fast for what is the most spectacular wrestling event of the year and the culmination of all the big storylines for the first four months of the year.

There's no let-up after that, however, with Backlash and Payback providing Box Office opportunities for revenge before Money In The Bank in Chicago on June 17.

This year's event has been expanded into a dual-brand affair which should lead to plenty of intrigue with title opportunities on the line for both the men's and women's divisions of Raw and SmackDown.

The small matter of the Raw-only Box Office event Battleground is sandwiched in between that show and the always-spectacular SummerSlam, which takes place in New York on August 19.

Next on the schedule for the Raw superstars is the Extreme Rules pay-per-view on September 16, where stipulation matches will be the order of the day.

Last year's event saw Samoa Joe win a savage fatal five-way under extreme rules to become the number one contender for the Universal title.

September also sees a SmackDown event on Box Office, with Hell In A Cell - where Kevin Owens beat Shane McMahon this year - taking place in Nashville.

The Raw crew head to Boston for TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs on October 21, while SmackDown's final single-brand event of the year is Clash of Champions on December 16.

But in between those two dates comes the Survivor Series, which next year will be screened live on Sky Sports Box Office from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on November 18.

As well as those 14 events, Sky will be the only place to see Raw and SmackDown live in their entirety every week - totalling an enormous 260 hours of WWE thrills and spills!
