Wasps remain on course to progress to the knockout stages of the Amlin Challenge Cup after powering to the top of Pool Three with a 25-11 win over Bayonne on Thursday.
Nicky Robinson kicked 17 points after Sam Jones got the hosts off to a flyer at Adams Park with a try in the fifth minute of an erratic encounter.
Excellent early pressure from Wasps was rewarded when they chose to run a close-range penalty and Jones, celebrating his 21st birthday, bundled over after a strong charge from John Hart.
Welsh fly-half Robinson added the extras and nailed a 40-metre penalty before Benjamin Boyet got Bayonne on the board.
Robinson and Boyet exchanged further kicks before the visitors reduced the arrears to two points on the stroke of half-time when Sione Lauaki muscled his way over in the corner.
But Wasps dominated after the break, Elliot Daly hammering a long-distance penalty before Robinson added two more in four minutes.
The home side then repelled a short barrage of pressure before Robinson landed his fifth penalty nine minutes from time to ensure a Wasps win in their 100th European match.
