Perpignan remain in contention for the Top 14 play-offs after beating Bayonne 25-19 at the Stade Aime Giral on Friday.
The Catalans were in control at half-time thanks to a try from centre Rudi Coetzee and three penalties from full-back Jerome Porical, after Bayonne fly-half Benjamin Boyet opened the scoring early on.
Two yellow cards either side of half-time damaged Bayonne's cause - flanker Abdellatif Boutaty joined on the sidelines by replacement Remy Martin.
There was also a sin-binning for Perpignan flanker Gregory le Corvec.
However, the visitors kept in touch with Perpignan with another Boyet penalty, as well as a try to winger Sam Gerber which reduced the deficit even further.
Perpignan replacement Kisi Pulu struck back with a try in the 60th minute, but Gerber was over again to take Bayonne to within three points of their hosts.
But that was the end of the comeback as two Nicolas Laharrague penalties extended Perpignan's lead. Julien Audy's late kick ensured Bayonne earned a vital losing bonus point.
