Gloucester head coach Bryan Redpath is without 10 squad members for the visit of Harlequins in their Guinness Premiership clash this Saturday.
Several players are away on international duty for their respective countries limiting the selection choice for the seventh-placed outfit.
However there is some good news for Redpath as their England Saxons quartet returns with David Attwood, Nick Wood, Olly Morgan and Paul Doran Jones all coming into the squad.
Gloucester clinched a valuable victory against Harlequins last weekend in a 31-29 win, but head coach Redpath insists this doesn't give them a mental edge.
He said: "We've an opportunity to move up the table but it will only happen if we work hard and not because of what happened last weekend. It's a different game and back to the Premiership.
"Quins are not a bad side either. We have to get our heads around that. I'm not bothered about last weekend; it's about the next game.
Challenge
"It's at Kingsholm and it's against a side who we know can challenge us and can beat us. They've some dangerous players and we have to be ready for that."
The home side are without Danny Wright, Freddie Burns, Jonny May, Jordi Pasqualin and Shaun Knight, who are still with the England U20s, while Rory Lawson, Alastair Dickinson, Scott Lawson and Ali Strokosch are with the Scotland squad ahead of their RBS Six Nations match against Wales.
Eliota Fuimaono-Sapolu, though, makes a return to the Gloucester side at inside centre along with Nicky Robinson playing at full-back.
Harlequins are determined to avenge the narrow defeat against Gloucester last weekend and they have been boosted by the return of three key players.
David Strettle returns from Saxons duty while Rory Clegg and Sam Smith are back from the England U20s.
Gonzalo Tiesi who was unable to compete in the last match due to fitness has been cleared to play and comes in at centre.
