The 2008 winners had not won on the continent in European competition for almost two years, but they halted this miserable run in emphatic fashion with a five-try triumph at Arcul de Triumf.
Lock Will Spencer and hooker Ross Batty scored first-half tries as Bath opened up a commanding 23-7 advantage at the break.
The visitors remained on top in the second-half and Vesty, Ollie Devoto and Kane Palma-Newport all crossed to seal maximum points for Gary Gold's side.
Vesty also kicked three conversions and a trio of penalties to increase the winning margin.
Florin Surugiu and Christian Munteanu scored tries for Bucharest, but Bath's impressive display applied pressure on Pool 4 rivals Calvisano and Agen.
