Duncan Weir kicked all his side's points as Glasgow beat Aironi 18-6 in their RaboDirect Pro 12 clash in Italy.
Weir converted five penalties and added a drop goal to secure a fifth win in eight games for the Warriors and keep the Scottish side in touch with the leaders.
Naas Olivier had momentarily put the hosts ahead in the early stages with a pair of penalties but Weir's accuracy ensured Glasgow secured victory in some comfort.
The 20-year-old fly-half was immediately on target to give Glasgow the lead but South African fly-half Olivier responded with a pair of penalties to give Aironi a 6-3 advantage.
Aironi's only win in the competition this season had come at home to Glasgow's Scottish rivals Edinburgh, but the Warriors soon set about ensuring they would not also suffer an upset.
Weir levelled with his second penalty in the 15th minute before adding another penalty and then a drop goal on the stroke of half-time to put his side 12-6 ahead at the interval.
Glasgow had Johnnie Beattie yellow carded for coming over the top of a ruck soon after the re-start, but the hosts could not make their advantage pay.
Olivier missed the resultant penalty and was again off target seven minutes later.
It proved costly as Weir took control thereafter to kick his side to a win that leaves them four points adrift of leaders Leinster.
