Wigan will once again be waiting on the fitness of Trent Barrett ahead of their home fixture with the in-form Catalans Dragons.
The Australian stand-off has missed the last two Super League outings with a knee injury but is once again included in their squad.
Despite being without one of their key players the Warriors still managed to pull off an impressive away win over reigning champions Leeds last Saturday.
Their hard-fought 14-10 triumph means that a home win on Friday night, coupled with a Rhinos loss against Wakefield, could see Brian Noble's side move level with the current leaders.
There is one enforced change from the 19-man squad on duty at Headingley Carnegie.
Centre Darrell Goulding is ruled out after being carried off with a suspected broken ankle. His place is taken by second-rower Lee Mossop.
Mark Calderwood, who was not picked to play against his former club, could come into contention. His selection would likely mean Pat Richards moving from the wing to centre.
Fresh from an impressive debut against the Rhinos, Thomas Coyle will carry on at stand-off if Barrett is not passed fit.
McGuire returns
Les Catalans will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to six games when they travel to the JJB Stadium.
The Dragons beat Huddersfield 20-16 last Friday to record their third away win of the campaign, already their best ever effort in Super League.
They did briefly move into fifth spot in the table with that win but Harlequins' success over Hull KR knocked them down a place to sixth.
Coach Mick Potter, who has been linked with a move to St Helens to replace Daniel Anderson at the end of the season, has been given a further boost with the return of Casey McGuire.
The stand-off should be fit to make his comeback, meaning Adam Mogg can move back to his more familiar position in the centres.
The Dragons, who could finally give a debut to Olivier Elima, will be hoping to pull off a repeat of the last meeting when they defeated Wigan in the semi-finals of the Carnegie Challenge Cup.
