Warrington caretaker boss James Lowes staked his claim to the job on a permanent basis following a 38-20 win over Hull KR on Sunday.
The victory at The Halliwell Jones Stadium cemented the Wolves in the play-off zone and made it two wins out of two under Lowes following their 40-24 away defeat of Harlequins last weekend.
They gained this victory thanks to three tries in quick succession after half-time, which gave them an unassailable 20-point lead.
Warrington dominated the opening exchanges and Ben Westwood crashed over for the opening score (6), with Chris Hicks adding the extras.
Response
But a Rovers response came in the 16th minute with a Chris Chester try, which Paul Cooke duly converted.
The away side then went ahead through a Ben Fisher try on 18 minutes, but Cooke failed with his conversion attempt this time.
But the Wolves restored parity on 21 minutes when Martin Gleeson dived over in the corner for his sixth try of the season, although Hicks failed to convert.
Rovers then regained the lead on the half-hour mark when full back Shaun Briscoe ducked under centre Simon Grix to touchdown, but Cooke's poor kicking continued and he was once more off target.
Levelled
But the Wolves levelled things up again just before the break when substitute Ben Harrison got on the end of a Monaghan pass, with Hicks' conversion giving the home side a half-time lead of 16-14.
Warrington soaked up some early Rovers pressure after the break before recording three quick tries and conversions without response.
Paul Rauhihi got the first on 50 minutes, before Chris Riley added a second two minutes later and Lee Briers a third on 61 minutes.
Briers then romped the length of the field in the closing stages to cap a fine second-half display for the Wolves, before Peter Fox added got a late consolation at the death for the visitors.
