A last-second kick from Marc Sneyd gave Hull FC a stunning 27-26 victory over Warrington at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Sunday.
The Wolves looked comfortable after stretching out to a 26-16 lead when winger Gene Ormsby claimed his second try of the game after 63 minutes.
However, the try sparked a comeback from the visiting Hull FC team, who scored through Mark Minichiello before winger Tom Lineham went over in the corner to level the scores with five minutes remaining.
Sneyd missed the tough touchline conversion but in a thrilling end to the game the scrum-half kept his cool to land the one-pointer with the final kick of the game.
Sneyd finished with a personal tally of 11 points with a try, three goals and a drop goal while Hull's other tries came from Setaimata Sa and Jordan Thompson.
Warrington winger Joel Monagahan claimed two tries to maintain his rich run of scoring form. The Wolves captain has now scored seven tries in his last five matches and fellow winger Ormsby also grabbed two tries for the home side, while Ben Currie touched down for the Wolves.
The Wolves were without hooker Daryl Clark who injured his knee last week against Widnes.
This visiting team defended well before their first trip into Warrington territory resulted in Thompson muscling over from close range to make it 6-0 after the conversion.
The lead lasted just three minutes as the Wolves responded with two tries in three minutes, firstly through Monaghan and then through an effort from Currie. Ratchford landed both conversions to put the home side 12-6 in front.
But Hull hit back through Sa dotting down in the corner before Sneyd sold a superb dummy and stepped through the Wolves defence for a fine solo try which he converted to give Hull a 16-12 half-time lead.
Warrington again started the second half well and Ratchford came close to scoring but was adjudged to have lost the ball over the line.
Wolves drew level when on the sixth tackle Ratchford collected his own kick before kicking into the corner where the ball took an unfortunate bounce for Hull centre Kirk Yeaman, which Monaghan grabbed to claim his second try of the game.
And Warrington took the lead shortly thereafter when Currie's long pass allowed Ormsby to dive over in the corner and give his side a four-point advantage.
Ormsby then scored his second try of the game which Bridge converted, and Warrington looked to be heading back to the top four as they led 26-16.
But the late tries by Minichello and Lineham and Sneyd's last-gasp drop goal gave Hull FC a famous win away from home.
