Wakefield secured back-to-back Super League wins after a dominating 36-6 home victory over Salford on Sunday.
The Wildcats suffered a humiliating defeat to Huddersfield the last time they played in front of their home fans, but won at Hull KR last Friday and provided another response on Sunday.
The hosts made a lightning start, racing out to a 28-0 lead with less than 30 minutes on the clock.
Daryl Millard, Tevita Leo-Latu, Glenn Morrison, Dale Ferguson and Aaron Murphy all ran-in first-half tries.
In the absence of Danny Brough, Sam Obst stepped up to the plate, crossing the try-line after the interval before playing in Damien Blanch with just over 10 minutes remaining.
Early points
The hosts moved into the lead in the seventh minute when the ball was worked down the left on the last tackle and Jason Demetriou evaded two tacklers before offloading to Matt Blaymire, who sent Millard over.
Obst missed a difficult conversion but another try was added shortly after, again on the last tackle.
Wakefield surged towards the Salford line before hooker Leo-Latu nipped in from close range, with Obst successfully adding the extras.
There was no let-up for the Reds as Richard Moore combined with Morrison before the latter powered his way towards the line for a third try on 12 minutes.
Obst slotted the conversion through and the rampant Wildcats increased the advantage further in the 18th minute.
Ferguson received a short pass from Leo-Latu and broke through many questionable Salford tackles before forcing his way underneath the posts.
It was Murphy's turn next as Demetriou stepped away from a tackle before linking with Blaymire, who sent the ball out wide for the 21-year-old to touch down.
Dominance
The hosts continued to dominate after the break and with just four second-half minutes gone, Obst raced over.
A Morrison offload set Damien Blanch free down the right. The winger was momentarily halted but found support from Obst, who crossed the line to make it 32-0.
Salford did eventually improve as the defence managed to stop the rot, but the Wildcats pack continued to dominate.
The Reds finally got on the scoreboard 17 minutes remaining with virtually their first attack of the contest.
The Wildcats were opened up on the left and it was Luke Swain with the pass which sent Stuart Littler over for a try converted by Stefan Ratchford.
Obst capped his fine performance with a perfectly-weighted kick that Blanch reached and grounded beyond the try-line.
