St Helens have been boosted by the return to fitness of club captain Paul Sculthorpe for Friday's clash.
The 30-year-old is poised to make his 250th appearance for the club after returning from injury and the news could not have come at a better time.
Coach Daniel Anderson is already without Great Britain forwards James Graham (calf) and Lee Gilmour (ankle), who also missed the disappointing 30-24 defeat against the lowly Castleford Tigers.
Prop Bryn Hargreaves also returns from injury and centre Willie Talau is back again after struggling with illness.
Quins make just one change from the side which impressively beat Hull KR 35-16 at The Stoop on Saturday.
Second row Dwayne Barker returns to the squad following injury and replaces full-back Tom Williams, as Brian McDermott's men eye back-to-back wins which could see Quins climb to second in the Super League table.
St Helens squad: Wellens, Gardner, Gidley, Talau, Meli, Pryce, Long, Cayless, Wilkin, Sculthorpe, Roby, Bennett, Flannery, Hargreaves, Clough, Tyrer, Fa'asavalu, Eastmond, Frodsham.
Harlequins squad: Barker, Clubb, Gafa, Grayshon, Haggerty, Howell, Mbu, Melling, Orr, Paul, Purdham, Randall, Rinaldi, Sharp, Sheriffe, Temata, Ward, Wells, Worrincy.
