Harlequins have been boosted by the return to their squad of captain Rob Purdham and winger Rikki Sheriffe.
But centre David Howell has not recovered from the groin injury that kept him off the field in the defeat at Wigan last weekend and scrum-half Danny Orr suffered a hamstring injury in training and is also ruled out.
St Helens scrum-half Sean Long came off early in the win over Huddersfield last week with a deadleg which is still undergoing treatment, although Saints coach Daniel Andferson expects him to play.
England stand-off Leon Pryce will return after being rested for the win over the Giants, but Lee Gilmour will not travel with the squad if his partner has not given birth by the weekend.
Chris Flannery is rated 50-50 by the coach to return, but will be in action against Castleford next week.
Victory at the Stoop would be St Helens' 13th straight win.
