Hull KR winger Liam Colbon is set to return to action when the Rovers host Salford at Craven Park on Sunday.
Colbon scored a hat-trick in his last appearance - a 70-14 victory over Wakefield - but missed out on the win against Crusaders last time out after picking up a knock to his back.
Stand-off Blake Green and prop Scott Wheeldon are included in Justin Morgan's 19-man squad but their participation in the match is uncertain due to injury.
Young forward Jordan Cox could make his engage Super League debut after scoring two tries in the Challenge Cup against York earlier in the season.
Robins coach Morgan expects the visitors to put in an improved performance after their heavy defeat to Hull FC last time out.
"I expected them last week to put in a bit of a better performance than they did against Hull," Morgan told the club's official website.
Potential
"It was a very convincing win for Hull and obviously Salford didn't play anywhere near their potential.
"It's a bit of a tricky one but I'm going to predict that the good Salford are going to turn up and if we prepare for that then that's all we can do. It's a huge game for us.
"If we want to keep those aspirations alive then we need to win this one and also take some confidence into the cup game."
Despite the Hull humbling, new Salford coach Matt Parish looks set to name an unchanged line-up for his first match in charge.
Parish has made no changes to his 19-man squad, although young stand-off Carl Sneyd could force his way into the match-day reckoning after impressing the new boss in training.
The Reds are currently level on points with Hull KR with both clubs still in the running for the final play-off place.
Hull KR squad: Briscoe, Fox, Cook, Colbon, Dobson, Newton, Fisher, Galea, Green, Hodgson, Lovegrove, Latus, Murrell, Netherton, Vella, Cox, Webster, Welham, Taylor
Salford squad: Patten, Broughton, Nero, Jewitt, Henry, Ratchford, Holdsworth, Cashmere, Godwin, Boyle, Neal, L. Adamson, Anderson, Smith, Sneyd, Gibson, Sidlow, Paleaaesina, Spencer
