Huddersfield will be looking to record their first Stobart Super League win since April 22 when they entertain London Broncos on Sunday.
The Giants had intially triumphed in 10 of their opening 12 games in 2012 but have since suffered a miserable run of form, losing five on the spin.
At least facing the Broncos does bring back some better memories for Nathan Brown's squad - they defeated the capital club 30-16 in the reverse fixture back in February and also knocked them out in the quarter-finals of the Carnegie Challenge Cup, their last victory in any competition.
However, Brown - who is in his final year in charge at the Galpharm Stadium before taking over at St Helens - is taking nothing for granted.
Improvements
"We can't expect to go out there and do what we did four or five weeks ago. We have to look and make some improvements in some key areas and if we get that right then things will improve quickly for us," he told the club's website.
"Obviously we would like to win when you come off the back of a run of defeats and we are now in a fight with a number of teams to finish in the top four.
"We are confident that we will get going again, a lot of our most experienced players are fit and we feel this week has been a much better week than the previous two."
The hosts are without winger Jermaine McGillvary and utility forward David Faiumu, who were both injured on international duty last weekend.
There are recalls for utility back Scott Grix, prop Keith Mason and back rower Jamie Cording to their 19-man squad.
London Broncos, meanwhile, have endured their own troubles this season, though they do at least make the trip north off the back of a rare win.
They lifted themselves off the foot of the standings with a 28-24 result against Widnes last time out, a result that pushed the Vikings back to the bottom.
Witt missing
Coach Rob Powell is still missing stand-off Michael Witt due to a shoulder injury, while a neck problem means Shane Rodney joins his fellow Australian on the sidelines.
Ben Bolger benefits from Rodney's absence and Michael Channing is recalled to the threequarter line in place of Omari Caro. With Witt still out, Dan Sarginson seems set to continue deputising in the half-back role.
Powell said: "We need to build on the win against Widnes so we're looking forward to the game this weekend.
"There is some added bite because of the result from the Challenge Cup game and we are looking to show that we are a better team than that."
