Huddersfield registered their first win in Super League XIII, running in 12 tries to smash Castleford 64-12.
The Giants bounced back from defeats to Leeds and Bradford in fine style against an injury-hit Tigers outfit.
Down to their last 17 players, the visitors were torn to pieces and are now the only side yet to have a point to their name this season.
Captain Chris Thorman led the demolition job, scoring one try and kicking eight goals from 12 attempts to finish with a personal haul of 20 points.
Early warning
In total 10 Huddersfield players scored, with Luke Robinson getting their first in only the seventh minute.
Rod Jensen followed that up with a second soon after as the Tigers endured a torrid opening to the match.
They did manage a brief response with a try of their own, winger Michael Wainwright finishing off a break by full-back Luke Dorn. Joe Westerman added the conversion.
However, Castleford's score just seemed to anger the Giants, who went on to touch down three more times before the break.
Kevin Brown scored the first from close range and then turned from scorer to provider by releasing Steve Snitch with a sublime pass.
After already having one try disallowed in the opening minutes, winger Shane Elford eventually got his name on the scoresheet, making it 28-6 at half-time.
Second-half blitz
Despite the comfortable cushion Huddersfield did not take their foot off the gas, perhaps keen to cash in while the going was good after heavy losses in their previous outings in 2008.
Thorman grabbed the first of what was to be four tries in the space of eight minutes, Jamahl Lolesi and Paul Whatuira also going over.
Robinson, who had been forced off the field after attempting to stop Castleford scoring, returned to the action with immediate affect, putting in a perfectly-weighted kick for Lolesi to score a second.
The scrum-half also finished with a brace himself, taking a pass from Eorl Crabtree to go over after former Tigers prop Keith Mason had scored.
Andy Raleigh rounded out the scoring three minutes from the end, with Castleford's only reply in the second half coming from Peter Lupton.
The former Hull man's second try of the campaign, which Westerman converted, at least meant the visitors made it into double figures.
