Castleford could hand a debut to loan signing Mike Cooper in Sunday's clash with table-toppers Wigan at the Jungle.
Forward Cooper has arrived from Super League rivals Warrington and looks set be thrown straight in by Tigers coach Terry Matterson.
However Sean Ainscough is unavailable, as the on-loan Wigan winger cannot feature against his own club.
Matterson will hope James Evans is fit to return in the centres after missing the win away at Catalans Dragons last Saturday.
If Evans is fit, Kirk Dixon could be moved out to the wing to take Ainscough's place. Jordan Thompson is also standing by to make just his third Super League appearance.
The Tigers recorded their second win of 2010 in Perpignan but have yet to truimph in front of their own fans, losing to both Hull KR and Warrington.
Carmont test
Wigan may have George Carmont back after he missed the 48-24 victory over Hull due to a hip problem and knee laceration.
The centre will undergo a late fitness test to see if he is able to return to the starting line-up having been injured in the loss at Bradford the previous week.
Prop Iafeta Paleaaesina will be hoping to be recalled by coach Michael Maguire after sitting out two of the last three matches.
The Warriors, who won away at Castleford last season, currently sit on top of the standings having won five of their six fixtures.
Castleford squad: Dixon, Shenton, Evans, Wainwright, Chase, Sherwin, Sargent, Hudson, Huby, Snitch, Westerman, Jones, Higgins, Clayton, Massey, Thompson, Davies, McGoldrick, Cooper.
Wigan squad: Phelps, Roberts, Gleeson, Carmont, Richards, S. Tomkins, Leuluai, Fielden, Riddell, Coley, Hansen, J. Tomkins, O'Loughlin, Prescott, Bailey, Paleaaesina, O'Carroll, Mossop, Goulding.
