Castleford bagged a second successive victory following a 52-16 demolition of Salford at the Jungle.
Super League newcomers Salford were giving a humiliating thumping by the Tigers, with the home side running in nine tries to three.
The scores were spread about the Castleford side, with Richard Owen bagging two while Michael Shenton, Craig Huby, Ryan Hudson, Joe Westerman, Kirk Netherton, Ryan McGoldrick and Dean Widders all got on the scoresheet.
Willie Talau, Karl Fitzpatrick and Mark Henry replied for the visitors, but they were mere consolations with two of them coming late on.
Salford started slowly and managed to concede five tries in the opening 25 minutes of the match, the first coming after just two minutes when Shenton scampered in after a 20 metre scrum.
Eight goals
Kirk Dixon kicked the first of his eight goals, and on eight minutes he was lining up his second after prop Craig Huby went over from close range off Hudson's pass.
Hudson combined with McGoldrick for their third try after 11 minutes, and Owen bagged the first of his double on the 20 minutes mark.
Westerman crossed for the fifth time on 25 minutes to see Castleford already well in charge of the match at 28-0 against a clearly shell-shocked Salford side.
The visitors finally got on the board after 32 minutes when centre Talau ran in on a diagonal run, to make it 28-6 at the interval.
Substitute Nertherton ensured a fast start to the second half with his try coming just two minutes after the restart, before Owen added his second of the game.
Sin-bin
Salford's Ray Cashmere and Castleford's Huby were sin-binned for fighting after a 59th-minute flare-up.
McGoldrick scored a superb 35-yard solo try before Salford finally got some attacking play together for a late rally.
Trailing 46-6, Salford at least managed to add ten points in five minutes with Fitzpatrick and Henry's tries and one John Wilshere conversion.
Castleford had the final say though with a try for Widders six minute before time adding a further shine to the emphatic scoreline.
