Arctic Burst looks the one to be with after his encouraging debut in what looked a fair maiden at Goodwood. That form received a boost on Tuesday, when the winner of that race Washeeq, finished a good third at York in a Listed event. Stablemate Weavers Pride holds entries in both the Champagne Stakes and the Royal Lodge and is clearly well regarded, but he may need the experience. The main threat could come from the newcomer Governor Brown, who is a half-brother to the useful Hataab. He too holds some fancy entries notably the Mill Reef and the Dewhurst Stakes. He is from a yard in form and no matter what he does today, he looks one to keep an eye on for the future. Court Masterpiece will need to leave his debut running well behind if he is to be a threat in this.
