    Verdict

A decent renewal of the Group 3 but a nightmare for punters with many of these holding solid claims. The first two home in the Goodwood Cup reoppose with winner, Jardines Lookout three pounds worse off for a one-and-a-half length beating of Give Notice. There was a true run pace on that day but on this occasion, there has to be a slight concern as to whether the same will be applicable here. That said, with the John Dunlop team still firing in the winners, a tentative Teamtalk vote is given to the latter. It will be interesting to see what tactics are played out on Darasim today. He is normally sent to the front in races over 1m4f but has yet to truly prove himself as a stayer of note - if there are any chinks in the armoury of the market leaders, he is certainly on the right track to exploit them. Cover Up is an admirable old stick in handicaps but is not of this class while the connections of Boreas have not got the rain that they would have hoped for. Chester Cup winner, Bangalore, has done nothing wrong but will have to improve to win this while Movie King is readily passed over.
