A predicatbly competitive heat for the prize money on offer but a tentative TEAMtalk vote goes to The Tatling. Milton Bradley's charge has yet to win over this trip but looks ready for it judged on recent evidence having been narrowly denied in the Ayr Gold Cup with a number of today's rivals behind. The five-year-old was never able to mount a challenge when switched back to the minimum trip last time but his turn of foot should give him an edge back over this extra furlong. Abbajabba took this twelve months ago and is fairly treated for a repeat so has to be respected but, along with Marsad, Budelli and Halmahera, he has to reverse Ayr form with the selection. John O'Groats plundered the Ayr Silver Cup last time but has more on his plate following a subsequent 7lb rise so a bigger danger may come from Magic Glade. The last named hails from an in-form stable and is the least exposed so there should be more to come from the son of Magic Ring who was a highly creditable runner-up in a similar event at Ascot late last month.
