Prairie Wolf and Cripsey Brook have both been consistent performers this term and deserve to win a race of this nature but have paid at the hands of the handicapper for their consistency and we prefer to side with a horse who may still be improving, Jeepstar. Tim Easterby's gelding has won handicaps at Ripon and Musselburgh recently and lost no caste in defeat back at Ripon behind Alrabab last time. A 2lb rise since then is fair for the three-year-old, who remains open to improvement and with a draw in stall three a distinct advantage, he gets the vote to resume winning ways. Another three-year-old Liquid Form is worthy of close consideration but the form of his victory over perennial bridesmaid Sir Sidney does not match that of the selection. Northside Lodge has shown signs of a return to form recently and has to be respected but remains a little high in the weights and of more interest could be Pontefract scorer Pagan Sky, who remains relatively unexposed. Stretton is worthy of a mentioning from his low draw and with Frankie Dettori booked but Jeepstar is still improving and gets the nod.
