Verdict
Caustic Wit is a classy performer and is sure to be sharper for his outing at Haydock but, he may not want the ground too fast. One who will not mind conditions is Mr Mahoose, who has been given a break since disappointing at Beverley back in May. If he is straight enough, he will take all the beating. Stateroom is only 1lb higher than his last winning mark and he looks sure to run well. Skylark finally got his act together over course and distance and is not out of this off a 5lb higher mark, while Bon Ami would also have a chance of sorts, although he has yet to win beyond six-furlongs.
