Verdict

John Betjeman is 3lb better off than when beaten a couple of lengths by NIBRAS GOLD at Ffos Las but the winner looked the more resolute that day and is fancied to confirm the form. Chasamax and Gerard Mentor were both tailed off when reappearing at Ludlow but the latter, in particular, will have come on a bundle for that run and pops up when conditions are right.
