Verdict

PURE FAITH looks good enough to land the finale with both Respective Way and Minella For Beef worth noting. The selection comes from the Peter Bowen stable and won well on his debut at Uttoxeter in June. He was however unable to win back-to-back races at the same venue last time out when sent off the even money favourite. That said this race is not as competitive and if running up to his best he is sure to go close. Tony McCoy gets the leg-up on Respective Way who has run two fine races in defeat, both of which looked above average and as a result he warrants respect. Minella For Beef won in the point-to-point sphere two years ago but has not been seen since. He was obviously a horse with a bright future before being struck by injury and his trainer is more than capable of producing winners. Pure Faith does have a penalty to overcome but if at his best he is taken to win.
