Verdict

Sun Pageant can benefit from the booking of Tony McCoy, with Goldsmeadow and newcomer Waldo's Dream perhaps the pair to give her most to do. Sun Pageant felt the benefit of a couple of educational outings at Newbury last year when successful at Fontwell in April, pushed out by Jamie Moore to win comfortably. The daughter of Double Trigger pulled hard in the early stages though, and there is definitely more to come this season. She is very well-bred on the dam's side, as her mother is related to Sun Princess, and she will be a classy recruit when sent hurdling. In the meantime she is expected to overcome a six-month break to follow up her initial bumper win, with Tony McCoy to do the steering. Richard Johnson partners Waldo's Dream, whose dam was a long-distance winner over hurdles, while Goldsmeadow should improve enough to improve on his recent Market Rasen debut without being good enough. However, described as having the look of a page 3 girl, in equine terms of course, by her trainer, Sun Pageant is the pick.
