The Michael Bell stable have been quiet recently but they should land this maiden with Langston Boy, Tanforan and Davenport could provide most danger. The selection chased home Swift Oscar in a tough handicap at Lingfield earlier this month off a mark of 73. That sets a pretty high standard back in maiden company and he will prove very difficult to beat. Tanforan however has put in two excellent efforts in similar company over course and distance. His recent third behind the David Loder newcomer Twin Peaks could turn out to be very good form and he looks a big danger to all. Davenport displayed improved form here in December when just pipped by City Zone, he possibly needs to improve on that effort, but as it was only his second ever race he should be capable of further progression. Lady Hen should prove best of the others, but Langston Boy returns to maiden company with strong claims and gets our vote
