In the opener, Sound And Vision gets the call ahead of Velocitas and Perianth. Sound And Vision would be a shoo-in on the best of his Turf form of the last few months and, even at this level on this surface, he fares well at the adjusted weights so has to be given a chance. His form of a year ago would give Velocitas a very good shout and, even though he has not been so good of late, still holds claims at this level. Alcott holds claims also on the pick of his Southwell form, while Penway would go well based on his spring form, but he seems to have lost his way, including in blinkers last time. Perianth's overall form makes makes him very competitive and he is trying a new trip today, and Swords still sees to retain enough ability to be competitive in this grade. Finally, a return to spring form gives White Star Magic a shout but the others need to find some improvement, although a look at the betting might yet reveal more. Overall, though, we will stick with Sound And Vision.
