The shortlisted trio are Desert Light, Almaty Express and Sir Nod, with the selection being Desert Light. Desert Light is back to a winning Lingfield mark from April and has been showing enough recently to be given claims today. Muara won tidily enough at Kempton last time abut has yet to prove she can win off today's mark, while Almaty Express has won from higher marks over course and distance and has shown enough of late to be given some thought. It wouldn't entirely be a surprise if Val de Maal got involved and Sir Don is an in-form course and distance winner that can be given claims, and his draw is good. Creme Brulee managed to get her head in front last time, although it was not a strong race and, finally, Cree needs to improve again on his recent course win and Tembladora, who was also entered to race on Wednesday, may be open to some improvement. The vote, however, stays with Desert Light.
