chased leaders, went 2nd 4 out, ridden 3f out, every chance 2f out, one pace
held up, headway over 5f out, switched left and led over 1f out, drew clear final furlong, eased towards finish
keen, chased leaders until ridden over 5f out, soon weakened
held up, headway over 4f out, soon hit on nose by rival's whip, ridden and every chance 2f out, one pace
soon chasing leader, ridden and weakened 4f out
held up, ridden 4f out, soon struggling
slowly into stride, soon well behind, tailed off final 5f
led, ridden over 3f out, headed over 1f out, beaten when edged right inside final furlong
behind, some headway over 2f out, never dangerous
This claimer may see Tinian successfully give weight away all round, with Repeat and Gold Guest others to consider. Tinian was a multiple winner in Germany earlier this year, and probably needed the run when sent to Southwell a fortnight ago. A promising fifth behind Cloud Dancer, he should step up on that and has no more to here. Repeat looks well held on that form but cannot be discounted, given his earlier winning form on the all-weather. Gold Guest, a winner over this sort of trip at Musselburgh in March, has been confined to shorter distances on the artificial surface, so is interesting, while it is hard to weigh up Lerando who makes the journey from Germany. Hiawatha has a couple of placed efforts, but all in all, Tinian holds the best claims and gets the vote.
