Trinculo, Green Pirate and Park Valley Prince make the shortlist in this competitive contest and Trinculo can shrug off apenalty. Park Valley Prince took a similar contest at Lingfield and was only beaten narrowly in an attempted follow up. he is clearly in good heart and looks well treated here. Green Pirate has not won for over a year but a series of placed efforts have seen his handicap mark rise. He keeps running creditably and returns after a seven week break here and can hit the frame. A close second to the prolific Fast Freddie over the minimum trip, Trinculo scored over six furlongs last time and goes up another furlong here. It will not be a problem as he scored over this distance in September and Trinculo can carry his penalty to success here.
