    Verdict

This looks a straight match-up between Hoh Wotanite and Prince Noel, and the vote is given to Hoh Wotanite. The selection was an emphatic winner here last time and if he gets the strong pace that he needs today, then he will be difficult to beat again despite his 6lbs penalty. Prince Noel will give him plenty to think about as he arrives here in fine form, but like our selection he has a penalty, and he can be a reluctant hero if he gets into a battle. Jilly Why appears to be in the grip of the handicapper on the all-weather at present, so she is probably best watched. Granakey hails from a shrewd yard and is worth a look in the market. However, for the winner we are happy to stick with the progressive Hoh Wotanite.
